On August 10, the Phase I of the Changxing Island Chemical Logistics Park of COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian Co., Ltd. was completed, and Phase II of the project and the signing ceremony for deepening the strategic cooperation was held in Dalian Changxing Island Economic and Technological Development Zone.

At the ceremony, COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian Co., Ltd. and Management Committee of the Changxing Island Economic and Technological Development Zone signed the "Framework Agreement for Deepening Strategic Cooperation". Besides, a number of companies signed the "Cooperation Agreement" with the project operating company COSCO Shipping Chemical Storage and Transportation Dalian Co., Ltd.

As a key "Double Hundreds" construction project in Liaoning Province in 2021, the Changxing Island Chemical Logistics Park is located in the Fine Chemical Innovation Park of Dalian Changxing Island Chemical Industrial Park. Upholding the management concept of "intelligent safety, intelligent warehousing, and intelligent transportation", the project covers an area of 118,000m² and engages the technologies and services of international first-class chemical warehousing and logistics enterprises. Aiming to make the warehousing environment, personnel management, operation procedure and transportation process safe, and the ecological environment friendly, it broadly adopts means such as big data, industrial robot and 5G to provide clients with "warehousing to shipping" one-stop services for chemicals. At present, the Phase I of the project has been fully completed and put into operation, and the Phase II second has started construction, marking the phased progress of the project.

Dalian Changxing Island is one of the seven major petrochemical industrial bases in China. Amidst the rapid development of the petrochemical industry in recent years, this project, once completed, will become a modern, multi-functional, comprehensive storage and transportation center for hazardous chemicals, with the largest designed storage capacity in Dalian and even the Northeast China region. It will further improve the logistics facilities in the Changxing Island Petrochemical Industrial Park and fill the gap in the bonded warehouses of hazardous chemicals.
