On March 8th, the naming and delivery ceremony of the 5500-cubic-metes full-compressed LPG of COSCO Shipping Dalian Investment Company was held in Yangzhou Jinling Shipyard.

Hu Xianfu, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Merchants Industrial Group, Hu Xianfu, General Manager , Zhu Dingjin, Director of Jiangdu District of Yangzhou City, Fan Qiang, Vice President of China Classification Society, and Zhu Maijin, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of COSCO Shipping Dalian Investment Company, delivered speeches at the ceremony, wishing the new ship a smooth sailing.

Sun Yeqing, a professor at Dalian Maritime University, named the new ship "Mudanyuan" and sent blessings to it.

 The "Mudanyuan"ship is the first newly-built ship since the establishment of COSCO Shipping Dalian Investment Company, and it is a landmark project for the company to comprehensively promote the implementation of the "14 th Five-Year Plan" strategy. With a length of 110.8 meters and a cabin capacity of 5,500 cubic meters, the"Mudanyuan"ship is a full-compressed infinite-navigation LPG carrier, which can carry LPG, propylene, butadiene, carbon and C-4 gases. It mainly operates in the coastal areas of China and the Yangtze River basin of China, and can meet the logistics needs of different links in the LPG industry chain.

During the construction of the "Mudanyuan" ship, the company adheres to the standards of "intelligence, high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection", and adopts advanced hull line design technology, intelligent integrated platform and ship situation awareness system, so that the ship can accurately control its position and perceive its surrounding environment during navigation and ensure its safe navigation. 

At the same time, the company actively responded to the national call of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", using a low-energy low-speed EFI main engine for the ship, with an energy saving efficiency of 12%.
