At 20:24 on November 11, 2022, the first very large gas Chinese carrier (VLGC) "Changxingyuan" officially set sail.

"Changxingyuan", with a cabin capacity of 83088 cubic meters, is the largest Chinese LPG ship with the largest cabin capacity at present. The shipowner is COSCO SHIPPING (SHANGHAI) CO.,LTD., which is registered and established in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone, coastal Lingang areaof China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the parent company is COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian--- a secondary company of COSCO Shipping Group. On October 26, 2022, COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian officially receiving to the "GAS ARIES" carrier, and officially renamed it the "Changxingyuan" carrier that was naturalized in the "Yangshan Port of China".

At 16:00 on November 11, 2022, the "Changxingyuan" carrier held a solemn flag-changing ceremony. The "Changxingyuan" carrier became the world's first VLGC with a five-star red flag.

At present, the LPG market has broad prospects for development. China has become the world's largest LPG importer for many years in a row.
