On 20th January, the 2023 Annual Meeting of Changxing Island Entrepreneurs was held in Changxing Island, Dalian. COSCO SHIPPING Investment Dalian was awarded Advanced Unit of Quality Enterprise, and signed the contract for the integrated project of chemical industry and new energy comprehensive logistics of Xizhong Island.

In recent years, the company's main business of LPG and chemical warehousing logistics has been thriving and expanding with the strong support and assistance of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the Communist Party,the People's Government of Dalian Municipality and the Shanghai Changxing Island.

In order to thoroughly implement President Xi Jinping's major strategy for the comprehensive revitalisation of Northeast China, COSCO SHIPPING has reached a consensus with Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party and the People’s Government of Liaoning Province on strengthening the building of the LPG fleet, promoting the hydrogen-based green energy business, such as green methanol and green ammonia in Liaoning, and actively participating in the infrastructureconstruction of the coastal ports and other projects for cooperation between central SOEs and local governments. The cooperation betweenCOSCO Shipping Investment Dalian and Changxing Committeein terminal and warehousing logistics of Xizhong Island is an important initiative to respond tothe strategy of comprehensive revitalisation of Northeast China and the cooperation between central SOEs and local governments Dalian.

In her speech on behalf of the company, deputy general manager Yu Zhenhong stated that the company will fully use the advantages of the application scenario of Changxing Island National Petrochemical Base, the deep-water chemical terminal and the land for port warehousing. In addition, the company, integrating the supply chain construction of shipping new energy industry chain of COSCO SHIPPING,will build an integrated industrial layout of gas chemicals, hydrogen-based green new energy shipping, harbour, and warehousing logistics. It will build a hydrogen-based energy centre in Northeast Asia and a major sea-land corridor in Dalian, in order to play a greater role as a node in linking the internal and external double circulation. This can helpfacilitate the building of Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center and Dalian International Logistics Center,shouldering the responsibility of a central enterprise for the growth of its city.
